| Overview: |
Looking for a Tooling Engineer with 8-10+ years
of exp. in designing cutting tools, gauges &
fixtures in an Aerospace machining/assembly
environment. Ideal candidate will have exp. in
an ISO 9001-2001 or AS9100 manufacturing system.
Focus will be to assist in developing machining,
assembly & inspection strategies, & creating
accurate 3D models & fully-dimensioned 2D
blueprints for use in programming & fixture
creation.

Education/
Experience: |
• Bachelor degree in Engineering (mfg or design)
or a technical degree with 4 years of exp.
designing specialty cutting tools, production
fixtures and gauges.
• 8+ years of exp in designing cutting tools,
gauges and fixtures for use in an Aerospace
machining/assembly or similar environment.
• Thorough knowledge of complex machining,
welding and assembly processes. • Clear
knowledge of eng. drawings, standards and specs,
esp. geometric tolerancing & dimensioning (GMT)
• Proficiecy w/ modern CAD package, such as
SolidWorks, Catia, and UG design.

Comments: |
• Participate in the design of state of the art
tooling, fixtures & gauges.
• Create/provide drawings, specs and required
docs to produce/procure tools, fixtures & gauges.
• Finds tech solutions to problems that occur
during production, work closely with all depts.
• Seek continuous improvements in mfg process.
