Brief Description of Job:
Perform all the necessary set-up, inspection and
tool changes required on machining operation for
the fabrication of parts.
Understand all functions of the control unit
required for operation of the machine attended or
not, and perform the necessary input changes to
produce a satisfactory part.
Load and unload parts, bar feed or fixtures
Monitor the operation of the machine or machines
in which he/she is responsible for; changing
tools as required to maintain or improve the
dimensional accuracy, quality, and efficiency of
the program relative to the part.
Read and interpret blueprints, program sheets and
terminology relating to the operation of the
machine and use precision measuring equipment to
check machine parts.
Troubleshoot potential machine/machining problems
and assist on repairs as necessary.
Manufacture quality products.
Education/
Experience:
General Responsibilities:
Knowledge of G-code programming
Knowledge of Autocad or Cad Cam software
Ability to interact with other departments
Ability to read blueprints
Experience with computer & SBT program
Experience with Lathe, Brigeport & Bandsaw
Education and/or Experience
Should have 2 years experience of similar duties.
