Sketch/draw pictures of aircraft/component
damage, to describe unit condition for FAA/DER
review and repair. Document aircraft/component
condition for inclusion in aircraft records and
for transmission to customers. Design SRM based
repairs and write work instructions. Design
repairs beyond SRM allowances for review and
approval by FAA/DER. Provide technical support
and guidance in SRM based work to Production
personnel when needed. Provide OJT to sheet
metal personnel when needed. Provide guidance in
repair design and analysis for Sr. Project
Engineers and Liaison Engineers. Manage the
resources in the Engineering Department to ensure
that all needed engineering support is provided
in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Education/
Experience:
B.S. degree in Aeronautical or Mechanical
Engineering. At least two years experience in
airframe structural repair design in an
engineering position. Ability to read and
understand blueprints, service bulletins, SRMs,
and other technical documents. Ability to make
technical drawings and write technical work
instructions. Computer literate with word
processor, CAD, and graphics programs.
General
Comments:
Prefer experience as an Engineering Manager in an
Airline engineering department.
